Homemade Crackers
- 1 ¼ cups whole-wheat flour
- 2 - 3 tsp. sugar
- ¼ tsp. each: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin
- 4 TBSP cold butter
- ¼ - ⅓ cup water
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine the flour, sugar, and spices in a food processor.
- Add small bits of cold butter to the mixture and pulse until the butter has been completely worked in.
- Slowly add water to the mixture and pulse until it resembles a dough.
- Turn out the dough onto a lightly-floured surface and roll it out until it is about 1/16” thick.
- Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into small rectangles and then transfer dough onto cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle crackers with salt, if desired.
- Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until crackers appear golden brown.
